Nikon 200-400mm f4 G VR II AF-S ED Lens has some interesting features for the wildlife photographer

The Nikon 200-400mm f4 G VR II AF-S ED Lens has some interesting features for the wildlife photographer, as its minimum focus distance is only 2m (not sure if this is at 200mm end) which is less that the Nikon 300mm f2.8 and the Canon 400mm F2.8. It is lighter in weight than the Nikon 400mm f2.8 G ED VR AF-S Nikkor Lens and the Canon EF 400mm f2.8 L IS II USM Lens, but is a slower lens at f4.

Could this be the wildlife lens to buy. I shoot canon, but if I did shoot Nikon I would buy this lens with a Nikon D7000 to get maximum reach. I am awaiting the Canon 200 – 400mm IS L Lens with built in tele convertor if It ever gets released onto the market.
