Biography

Matt was born in Stockport, England and worked as a Chartered Mechanical Engineer for many years of his professional life. Throughout this period he became fascinated by photography and had his first film SLR camera at the age of 18. He continued to learn the craft of photography throughout his professional career whilst traveling throughout Europe and Norway. He developed a passion for landscape, nature, sports and studio photography.

Over the last twenty years, he has developed a eye for colour and lighting, he moved over to digital photography from film in 2003 moving from Minolta to Canon camera’s. Aside from his own photography, he also enjoys introducing photography to others and runs workshops dedicated to producing better photography, see www.fotoschool.co.uk.
